At the risk of pushing against the tide of criticism, I would like to put a shout out to the professional and supportive staff working in the fabric section of Spotlight in Frankston. This despite the sudden rush of demand for mask making materials.
Please stop issuing in store vouchers, particularly to Victorians. Moving customers to an online channel is the responsible way to market your products right now.

My daughter ordered a sewing machine online yesterday morning, the first day of your storewide sale. You had stock when it was ordered. Now today you have refunded her money because its out of stock! How does this happen? She is really not happy Spotlight!! And who knows when you will get more stock. Probably when they are full price again?! 😡
You should offer click and collect or discounted postage for spending over a certain amount like other department stores... when will that happen?

Don’t bother calling spotlight Trinity gardens in SA, they don’t believe answering a phone call from a customer is important. Spent over 30 mins on hold- which was my entire lunch break- to try change a balloon order! Lunch break ended, and never got to speak to anyone. Lift your game Spotlight! This is totally unacceptable!
Given Victoria’s current lockdown situation it’s a tad ill considered to send out instore only discount vouchers 😡
Have Spotlight stores in Melbourne closed due to stage 4 restrictions?
Thought it would be great now that only locals can go to Spotlight Sandown, unfortunately while there are now fewer shoppers, this was offset by the fact that I walked out with only 1 of the things I went in for - entire wall of elastic empty, bulk discount on fat quarters no longer offered, and limits to how much fabric one could buy! Limits would have made more sense BEFORE, not now when the shoppers are all local and there were maybe 15 customers when I went just after lunch yesterday. Now that fewer can go out, more are relying on those who CAN make it in store to be supplying fabric masks, too late now I guess.
I purchased items 3 weeks ago and the parcel has been stuck at nunawading post office for over 10 days 😐

Hi Spotlight, I am extremely frustrated with the way your website is set up. I have made two orders and both times have had half of the items in the order refunded/cancelled after the order has been confirmed due to you no longer having the items in stock. I cannot tell you how frustrating i find this as the reason why i have put through the order and paid for delivery is because i wanted those orders. If i was only getting one item, i wouldn't even bother to pay for the shipping. Also, the person i spoke with on your customer service line was quite rude.
Not happy at all about my recent few experiences with online/instore customer service. I have been a VIP regular shopper for many many years. Recently tried to change my address and get a new card, customer service set me up a new one instead, now Im being told that I dont get my $10 birthday voucher. I get emails EVERY SINGLE DAY from spotlight, yet customer service say that i wont get my voucher as emails box was not ticked. I replied with screenshots proving i do indeed get emails daily, and I am still awaiting a reply. I dislike very much being accused of lying.😡

Could I make a suggestion... I was excited to see your 30% off coupon in my mail... then so disappointed to see it’s only available in store. Firstly I’m a 4%er so can’t even go the 5km radius anyway and haven’t left my house since March and secondly... wouldn’t it be a great gesture of good will towards trying to eradicate Covid if you made available for online as well and tried to discourage people coming into your stores? Myself I had a large ticket item I would have purchased and I find now I’m forced to buy online I spend a lot more as I’m not bumping into people or feeling rushed... otherwise maybe you could adopt what Coles and Woolworths have and that is disabled priority? Maybe your NDIS. Or My aged care no to qualify? I’ve spent about $3k online since Covid... I feel very discriminated against that I’m unable to leave my home because of my disability and take advantage of this offer. Thanks for your time. Yours in Crafting Gaylene 😊
